DON KOHARSKI OFFICIATING CAMP DATES ANNOUNCED

It is with great pleasure and excitement to announce our 2013 summer camp dates and locations:

June 21st - 24th in Hamilton ON

July 26th - 29th in Dartmouth NS

August 2nd - 5th in Moncton NB

We have realized that two camps are necessary in Atlantic Canada and a choice can now be made as to what weekend best suits your busy schedule. Both camps are open to all officials from all areas and you will receive the very best of instruction at either camp. The Dartmouth camp will be held at the Dartmouth Sportsplex and the Moncton camp will again be held at the Red Ball Internet Centre. Please know that we will be accepting a maximum of 50 applicants to each camp so it will greatly benefit you to get your application in sooner than later.

Last summer was our 10th year in Atlantic Canada and we were very pleased to have such a strong presence from the QMJHL in attendance. Richard Trottier, Director of Officiating for QMJHL and his supervisors, Larry Christian, Rick Gaudet, and Guy Pellerin were able to break away from their camp and join us to lend a hand. Richard Trottier was very impressed after joining us for the first time last summer and now knows why so many from our camps have been hired by the QMJHL. Larry Christian has been a supporter of our camp for ten years now and continues to be a valuable member of our staff.

The camp in Hamilton will be held at the Mohawk 4 Ice Centre which is run by the same managing company that has treated us so well in Moncton. We will continue to provide all officials with the very best of instruction and exposure to the league reps in attendance. This past summer, it was a privilege to have Rick Morphew, RIC - OHF and Bob Morley, Director of Officiating - OHA join our staff for the first time. From their positive experience, they have committed to becoming involved again this year alongside Conrad Hache, Director of Officiating – OHL who has been a supporter of our camp since day one. Our move to Hamilton will be a positive experience and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the OHF, OHA and OHL as we work together to provide a great resource to develop officials of all ages.

It is our goal that 2013 students will be able to write their recertification tests immediately following the conclusion of camp. This process would be administered by local officiating supervisors and would involve an additional cost to you based on local regulations.
